Baked potato is so delicious and at the same time super easy to make. Today I am sharing with you the recipe for baked potato from the BBQ, but also baked potato from the oven with you so that you can enjoy this delicious dish all year round.

It can no longer be a surprise that I love potatoes. There are many different recipes online with potatoes, I previously even shared my 10 (!) favorite onescasseroles with potatowith you and there are more than enough recipes with potatoes planned for this year that I can't wait to share with you.

Stuffed baked potato

Baked potato: a thin, almost crispy skin and the potato itself is so deliciously slow-cooked that it can almost be called creamy. For the filling, I like to choose them with a fresh counterpart such as this filling that I made with sour cream, fresh herbs and a clove of garlic. Simple, but so delicious!

What do you serve with baked potato?

You can actually serve anything with it. In the summer, like now, I like to serve therecorn on the cob from the BBQat orzucchini from the BBQ, a nice fresh salad and possibly meat or fish from the BBQ as desired. This way you can make everything on the BBQ at once, ideal!

In winter I also like to serve it with a simple salad or vegetables such as carrots or other seasonal vegetables. Sometimes I make it a tasty vegetarian meal (because a baked potato with vegetables is a great meal in itself) and sometimes I fry a steak with it. Also tasty!

Then I often opt for a fresh, simple salad to go with it, to still have tasty vegetables, but not to make the meal too heavy. You can actually vary the baked potato and serve whatever you like. If you have any nice tips or additions, you can always share them in the comments.

What do you need to make baked potato?

Actually very little: large (slightly) floury potatoes, some aluminum foil and some salt, pepper and (olive) oil. Furthermore, of course, the filling as I make with sour cream, herbs and garlic and side dishes such as a salad, vegetables and possibly meat or fish. No more! So you probably have most of the ingredients at home 🙂 .

What you need (ingredients):

For the baked potato

  • 4 great potatoes ((slightly) crumbly)
  • (olive) oil, salt and pepper

For the filling of the baked potato

  • 125 gram sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (fresh – finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon chives (fresh – finely chopped)
  • 1 teen garlic
  • pepper and salt

Nice to serve (tip)

  • 4 corn cobs
  • simple salad


HOW TO MAKE IT (preparation method):

  • To shorten the preparation time, I always pre-cook the potatoes. Then they don't have to be in the oven or on the BBQ for so long.

  • To do this, scrub the potatoes clean and put them in a bowl with a dash of water for 5 minutes at 800 watts or pre-boil them for 10 minutes in a pan with plenty of water and a pinch of salt.

  • Then pat the potatoes dry (if necessary) and grease them with a little (olive) oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  • Wrap each piece tightly in aluminum foil.

  • For the BBQ:Roast the potatoes (on indirect heat) for about 10 minutes with the lid on the BBQ.

  • For the oven:Roast the potatoes in the preheated oven at 200 degrees top and bottom heat for about 30 minutes.

  • Make the filling/sauce by mixing the sour cream with the finely chopped fresh green vegetables, the squeezed garlic clove and salt and pepper to taste.

  • After roasting, carefully remove the potatoes from the aluminum foil. Score the top with a sharp knife to make some room for the sauce.

  • Divide the sauce over the potatoes and serve immediately with, for example, the corn cobs and a nice fresh salad. Enjoy your meal!
